Retainers are a breakable item. So, take extra caution.
If you misplace or break your retainer, contact us immediately.
When your retainers are not in your mouth, keep it safely in its case. Apart from missing it out, your pets may chew and damage it.
Most of the retainers are either lost in lunchrooms or restaurants. So, make it a habit of checking your retainers after every meal.
Remember, to remove your retainer when you go swimming.
Clean your retainer well at least once a day. Use warm but not hot water as it may damage your retainer. Brushing retainers remove the plaque and eliminate bad odors.
Keep your retainers away from hot stuff. Hot water, pockets, the washing machine, clothes, napkins etc.
Initially, you may find it difficult to speak. Practice speaking, reading, or singing out loud to get used to it faster.
Wear your retainer at all times, until the doctor instructs otherwise.
If you have any questions or concerns about your retainer, or you believe it needs adjusting, call us. Do not try to adjust it yourself.
Always bring your retainer to your appointments.
Retainer replacements are expensive, but with proper care, they will last for years!
